Under the general direction of the Chief Technical Director, the Director, Commerce is responsible for designing, recommending and implementing policies, strategies, legislation and programmes that will ensure a stable, competitive and transparent commercial environment which balances the interests of domestic and regional producers, importers, retailers and consumers. The incumbent will also ensure that policy objectives of the Government of Jamaica are realized through effective co-ordination of the Commerce portfolio of the Ministry. 💰 salary range $6,333,301 - $8,517,586 JMD per annum.
Director, Project and Evaluation (GMG/SEG 4)

Under the direction of the Principal Director, Policy, Planning, Projects and Research the Director, Project and Evaluation monitors and controls the development and operations of all internationally and locally funded projects in the Ministry and its Agencies; implements some projects directly; evaluates technical and professional consultancies for projects; supervise the budgets and cash flows for project financing and manage the human resource activities of the Unit. August 13, 2025 to September 24, 2025 💰 salary range $6,333,301 - $8,517,586 JMD per annum.

Food Storage Inspector (SOG/ST 5)

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Food Storage Inspector, the Food Storage Inspector is responsible for carrying out Government surveillance and regulatory programme of inspection and disinfestations of entities, and to ensure food/feed is free of contamination and reduce losses due to deterioration. The incumbent also monitors the pest control industry to ensure the safe and effective use of pesticides in food establishment. 💰Salary: $3,501,526 - $4,709,163 JMD per annum
