Reporting to the Commissioner, the incumbent is responsible for the management of all the Commission’s criminal cases in the Courts; managing stakeholder relationships; updating on investigations; ensuring legal compliance and addressing witness welfare matters. This includes developing, implementing, presenting and maintaining a database on witnesses expected to give evidence at trials. He/she reports on orders and requests made by judges/prosecutors and liaises with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to witness welfare. This position assists investigations by acting as a two-way information conduit between the Commission and the courts in accordance with the Commission’s policies and procedures and within applicable laws and legal practices. 💰 Remuneration: $4,266,270 – $5,737,658 JMD per annum plus applicable allowances.

The incumbent provides secretarial and administrative functions that offer support to the Director of Complaints and Investigators in accordance with established standards and procedures, in order to ensure the efficient operations of the department. The person performs a variety of clerical, record keeping and administrative tasks, managing documentation and facilitating communication both internally and externally. 💰 Remuneration: $1,711,060 – $2,301,186 JMD per annum plus applicable allowances.

Crime Scene Examiner – Temporary (GMG/SEG 3) - Headquarters

The incumbent is responsible for the evaluation of crime scenes through meticulously documenting, collecting, securing, preserving, packaging and maintaining chain of custody for all physical evidence. Critically, the Crime Scene Examiner ensures the analysis and resolution of cases by providing accurate and reliable forensic evidence collected from the scene. Under the guidance of the Chief Crime Scene Examiner or the Crime Scene Analyst, he/she must also prepare detailed reports on the observations and activities at scenes, to include scene analysis and reconstruction for the Commission and testify in court. 💰 Remuneration: $5,198,035 – $6,990,779 JMD per annum plus applicable allowances.
