Director, Project Development and Coordination (GMG/SEG 4)

Under the direction of the Senior Director, Project Management and Coordination, the Director, Project Development and Coordination provides direction and support in respect of project development activities. The Director has the responsibility for the development, management, coordination, execution and completion of locally or internationally funded projects in the Ministry and its entities, ensuring consistency with government’s commitments, objectives and goals. Salary Range: 💰$6,333,301 to 8,517,586JMD per annum

Project Manager (GMG/SEG 3)

Under the direction of the Director, Project Development and Coordination, the Project Manager has responsibility for planning, organising and directing the implementation of projects, ensuring that these projects are on time, on budget and within scope. This includes developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Salary Range: 💰$5,198,035 to $6,990,779 JMD per annum

Project Analyst (GMG/SEG 2)

Under the general direction of the Director, Project Development and Coordination, the Project Analyst exercises responsibility for project planning and design that ensures that the Government of Jamaica receives value for money, and over time, sustained economic growth and development from all projects approved for implementation. The Project Analyst is also responsible for supporting the Project Manager in identifying and agreeing with stakeholders the scope, methodology and required resources for the assigned projects; and managing the implementation of the approved plans towards achievement of agreed objectives Salary Range: 💰$4,266,270 to $5,737,648 JMD per annum

Project Engineer (SOG/ST 7)

Under the direction of the Director, Project Development and Coordination, the Project Engineer is responsible for liaising with key project stakeholders in pre-planning, schedule preparation and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the execution of infrastructure projects. In particular, the incumbent reviews design and bidding documents, evaluates contractor bids and oversees construction progress and scheduling. Salary Range: 💰 $5,198,035 to $6,990,779 JMD per annum

Quantity Surveyor (SOG/ST 7)

Under the general direction of the Director, Project Development and Coordination, the Quantity Surveyor reviews architectural plans and prepares quantity needs; estimates the quantity and cost of materials and provides expertise in the drafting of the Ministry’s construction contracts. The Quantity Surveyor also monitors ongoing construction projects and ensures they are completed within the projected budget and schedule. Salary Range: 💰 $5,198,035 to $6,990,779 JMD per annum

Director, Project Monitoring and Evaluation (GMG/SEG 3)

Under the direction of the Senior Director, Project Management and Coordination, the Director, Project Monitoring an Evaluation, has the responsibility to monitor and evaluate ongoing and/or completed projects to determine if project objectives are met. This includes whether projects are on schedule, within budget, as well as quality control issues. The Director, Project Monitoring and Evaluation also provides technical advice, guidance, and support to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of projects, programmes and initiatives within the Ministry and its portfolio entities. The Director is required to develop surveys, studies, evaluation reviews, output reports, value for money audits, in terms of Return on Investment (ROI), both economic and/ or social benefits. Project Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst (GMG/SEG 2)

Under the direction of the Director, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst has responsibility to monitor and conduct evaluations of ongoing and/or completed projects to determine if project objectives are met. This includes whether projects are on schedule, within budget, as well as quality control issues. In this regard regular inspections are conducted to determine if the projects are going off track so that corrective actions may be taken. Salary Range: 💰 $4,266,270 to $5,737,648 JMD per annum

Senior Technical Coordinator GMG/SEG 3 (Band 9)

Under the general supervision of the Permanent Secretary, the Senior Technical Coordinator will provide high level technical and operational support with a view to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ministry’s mandate and strategic objectives. This includes stakeholder management, monitoring and coordinating the progress of policy proposals, and contributing to the development of strategic plans and matters assigned to the Permanent Secretary.
