The incumbent is responsible for undertaking all ground-related activities in support of the operation of the department, maintaining a clean and attractive environment by using plants and other economic methods to enhance the appearance and cleanliness of the grounds.

Network Administrator (MIS/IT 7)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Information Communication Technology Division of the Police Department: Network Administrator (MIS/IT 7) Under the general direction of the DIRECTOR, ICTO, the Network Manager manages a team and is responsible for network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues; reducing operational risks and improving availability of the network; ensuring operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages; and evaluating new network hardware and software solutions and monitoring the market for emerging technology. Additionally, the Network Manager will collect and analyse operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and log problem records to assist with problem resolution and increased network availability.

The role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.

ICT Security Manager (MIS/IT 7)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Information Communication Technology Division of the Police Department: ICT Security Manager (MIS/IT 7) Under the general direction of the DIRECTOR, ICTD, the ICT Security Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of ICT security and risks for the JCF, including cyber security, IT risk management, network defence, firewall management, intrusion detection systems, security risk assessments, IT security project management, penetration testing, as well as ensuring that there is ongoing monitoring, maintenance and security evaluation of the JCFs ICT network and systems. Additionally, the IT Security Manager will develop and implement the organization's information technology security policies and practices to ensure authorized users can readily access information safely and that the network is protected in the event of eventualities, to facilitate a timely return to normal operations.

ICT Security Officer (MIS/IT 4)

Database Administrator (MIS/IT 4)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Information Communication Technology Division of the Police Department: Database Administrator (MIS/IT 4) Under the general direction of the System Development and Maintenance Manager, the Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of databases and guaranteeing that data in them come from reliable sources, are stored securely and optimally; and for backing up systems to prevent data loss in case of a power outage or other disaster. The DBA oversees the development of new databases and will inform end users of changes in databases and train them to utilize systems.
