Manager, Public Procurement

The Manager, Public Procurement is responsible for managing and coordinating the functions of the Procurement Department. The incumbent will organize the timely procurement and efficient delivery of goods, services, and works for the Spectrum Management Authority (SMA) in accordance with Government Procurement Laws, Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines at the highest level of management.

The Data Protection Officer is responsible for advising and providing guidance on a range of privacy, data protection, and technology-related regulatory and compliance matters. The incumbent will monitor internal compliance, inform and advise on data protection obligations, providing advice regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and act as a contact point for data subjects and the Office of the Information Commissioner.

The Manager, Strategic Planning is responsible for translating the Government of Jamaica’s (GoJ’s) polices into objectives for the SMA’s implementation and providing advice to the Managing Director on aligning SMA’s goals and objectives with that of the Government of Jamaica.

The Human Resource Officer is responsible providing support services in the human resource department. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the welfare and benefit activities, planning and organizing training and development intervention, assisting with the recruitment and on-boarding function and providing guidance in human resource management.

Legal Officer

The Legal Officer Principal is responsible for providing legal advice to the organization, conducting legal research, preparing legal opinions, contracts and legal documents. The incumbent also provides information, guidance and general legal advice to SMA staff and support the Legal Affairs Division.

Accounts Payables Officer

The Accounts Payables Officer processes payments to suppliers, Government entities and other organisations and ensures that transactions are properly recorded that will assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements and related reports.
