Under the supervision of the Technical and User Support Manager, the Technical and User Support Officer will provide technical computer support that will allow users within the Ministry to carry out their functions more efficiently. Specifically, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of the Ministry, which include installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults, and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. Senior Financial Analyst (FMG/PA 3)

Cartographer (SOG/ST 4)

Under the direction of the Senior Cartographer (SOG/ST 6), the Cartographer (SOG/ ST 4) is responsible for gathering data for the development of maps, graphs and charts through survey notes, original maps, aerial photographs or other records. The incumbent also, develops cartographic materials, and conducts research with map specifications (size, scale and production). The cartographic materials and related data are used by Regional Planners, Soil Scientists and a range of agricultural stakeholders for land use surveys and Land Evaluation Analyses. The incumbent also participates in associated research, verifications and calculations in support of high level cartographic work. Salary Range: ๐Ÿ’ฐ $2,803,771 JMD per annum

Under the general direction of the Director, Project Monitoring & Evaluation (GMG/SEG 4), the Sociologist (SOG/ST 8) designs and implements sociological models to strengthen and promote economic growth, poverty reduction, gender equality and other sociological benefits to enhance the management and development of the agricultural sector. The incumbent is also required to develop strategic linkages with farmers and relevant groups and associations, to establish stakeholder networks; and to develop group dynamics techniques and tools to enhance group performance in targeted farming communities.
