Systems Analyst/ Developer

Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Systems Analyst / Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Python, .dotnet, PHP and Java programming languages, a strong problem-solving mindset, and experience working with relational databases like MySQL and SQL Server. Knowledge of the IBM iSeries and its database is a plus. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot complex technical issues, contribute to software development, and maintain high standards for documentation. A background in web and mobile development, as well as familiarity with data warehousing and data integration practices, is highly desirable. The candidate should also have a good command of both Windows and Linux operating systems and a general understanding of cloud computing technologies.

Responsibilities

• • Provide technical support for internal and external users, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications using Python, .dotnet, PHP, Java, and other technologies as required.
• • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain web-based and mobile applications.
• • Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server), and ensure smooth database interactions.
• • Assist with the integration of data from various sources to and from our ERP system, ensuring the integrity and consistency of data.
• • Develop and maintain clear, concise, and thorough documentation for system processes, code, and procedures.
• • Participate in the analysis of business requirements and work closely with stakeholders to implement solutions.
• • Provide regular updates to management on progress and issues encountered.
• • Continuously seek ways to improve application performance, efficiency, and user experience.
• • Assist in troubleshooting issues related to system deployment and integration in a variety of environments.
• • Provide support across multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• • Contribute to cloud-based solutions or systems, providing assistance and expertise on cloud infrastructure and services where applicable.

Required Skills

• Programming Languages:

  • • Strong knowledge of Python, .dotnet, PHP and Java (JavaScript knowledge a plus).

• Databases:

  • • Solid experience with relational databases like MySQL and SQL Server. Knowledge of writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

• IBM iSeries:

  • • Familiarity with the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform and its database (DB2 for i) is highly desirable.

• Problem Solving:

  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Web & Mobile Development:

  • • Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks) and mobile development (iOS, Android) is a plus.

• Documentation:

  • • Excellent documentation skills to maintain clear, organized records for technical processes and systems.

• Data Warehousing & Integration:

  • • Knowledge of data warehousing principles and data integration patterns and practices.

• Operating Systems:

  • • Strong command of Windows and Linux operating systems, with experience in administration and troubleshooting across both platforms.

• Cloud Computing:

  • • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

• Communication:

  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaboration:

  • • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• • B.Sc. in Computing and Information Technology.
• • Three years of experience in a similar role.
