Director, Corporate Services Division
Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director the incumbent is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, guiding and implementing the organization’s operational and strategic focus and to ensure new business development and maintenance.
Responsibilities
📈 Performance Metrics: Performance will be evaluated based on the following criteria: ✅ Project Completion: Projects are executed according to specifications and delivered within the specified timelines. 📅 Timely Execution: All Business Development activities are completed within the established schedules. 🌟 Brand Management: The Communication, Customer Service, and Public Education Branch effectively maintains the positive image of the BSJ. 💻 ICT Implementation: All ICT infrastructure is established and operational within the set deadlines. 💰 Budget Compliance: All OFMB projects are delivered within budget constraints. 📝 Accurate Reporting: Reports are consistently accurate and submitted on time. 🔒 Accountability: 📊 Budget Management: Manage the Division’s annual budget within a ±5% variance. 🎯 Corporate Plan Deliverables: Ensure all corporate plan objectives are met within the agreed timelines. 💼 Key Responsibilities: Fully accountable for the deliverables associated with all key roles and responsibilities.
- • Evaluates and modifies benefits policies to establish competitive programs and to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- • Investigates industrial accident and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
- • Prepares reports and any information required for the Standards Council and its sub-Committees.
- • Oversees property maintenance, preventative programme (electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds, etc.).
- • Manages the development, implementation of the Corporate & Operational Plans and Budget for FMD.
- • Overseas the design, marketing and delivery of training interventions to support the raising
- • level of awareness of quality and related concepts in the local context.
- • To design and develop policies, strategies and programmes to support the BSJ’s priorities.
- • To develop department plans and formulate strategic procedures treating major and complex projects undertaken by the BSJ.
- • To develop a strong and capable technical services and standards-driven organization.
- • Maintain relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
- • To demonstrate leadership and commitment to the Quality Management System Policy by ensuring that objectives established are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the BSJ
- • Overseas the design, marketing and delivery of training interventions to support the raising level of awareness of quality and related concepts in the local context.

- • Comprehensive knowledge of Labour Laws
- • Working knowledge of government’s administrative system
- • Industrial relations principles and practices
- • Contemporary Human Capital Management approaches
- • Statistical and data analysis techniques
- • Sound knowledge of HR functions: Staffing, employee development, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, job analysis, design and evaluation
- • Excellent human relations/interpersonal skills
- • Oral and written communication skills
- • Leadership and motivational skills
- • Negotiation and mediation skills
- • Ability to a lead a team successfully
- • Meet stipulated deadlines
- • Use Microsoft Office Suite and other software as appropriate
- • Competence and knowledge of relevant HR software programmes
Qualifications
- • Master’s degree in Engineering Management or equivalent
- • Talent management assessment capability
- • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- • Project management training
- • 5 - 10 years’ experience in a senior management position in human resources in a unionized environment
- • 3 -5 years experience in industrial relations
