Assistant Director, Finance and Accounting
Summary
As an Assistant Director, Finance and Accounting, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning, directing, and coordinating of accounting, and other financial activities at the assigned property.
Responsibilities
- • Oversee all financial and accounting operations of the property ensuring consistency and adherence to company guidelines.
- • Develop and implement financial plans, policies, and budgets in alignment with divisional and organizational goals.
- • Analyze financial data and present results and recommendations to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- • Manage financial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies within the organization.
- • Collaborate with other department heads and management teams to drive financial performance and growth.
- • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance.
- • Maintain and foster relationships with key industry partners, such as banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes, controls, and systems to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- • Mentor and develop direct reports, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
- • Stay current on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive advantage in the finance and accounting field.
- • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications:
- • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
Work Experience:
- • Provides leadership and direction through managers
- • Accountable for the performance and results of related departments
- • Executes functional plans and contributes to development of strategy
- • Decisions guided by divisional strategy and priorities
- • Has 10 to 15 years of work experience
- • Has 3 to 5 years of management experience
