Ecd, Training & Development Officer (GMG/SEG 2) - Region 4
Summary
The Early Childhood Commission (ECC), a Statutory Body of the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information with responsibility to regulate the operations of Early Childhood Institutions, is seeking to identify highly motivated and dynamic individuals to fill the following post: ECD, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (GMG/SEG 2) - REGION 4 Reporting to the Manager, ECD Training & Development, the ECD Training and Development Officer is responsible for coordinating and facilitating training, Development, technical, and administrative functions for practitioners, ECC Staff, and other EC stakeholders across the early childhood sector. π° Salary Scale $4,266,270.00 - $5,737,658.00 JMD per annum, and any other allowances attached to the post.
Responsibilities
- β’ Plans, develops, and provides training and staff development programmes.
- β’ Supports Professional Development sessions for the organization.
- β’ Monitors training results and statistics.
- β’ Recommends new approaches, techniques, and programmes based on training assessments conducted.
- β’ Conducts research into best practices and strategies in training and development which could aid in the development of new or improved early childhood development training programmes.
- β’ Facilitates relevant training interventions.
- β’ Facilitates the transfer of skills and knowledge of trainees.
- β’ Assesses training participants to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
- β’ Monitors and reports on training projects and the enhancement of training initiatives.
- β’ Assists and prepares facilitators and assessors with all online related activities when developing programmes.
- β’ Develops training material and resources.
- β’ Creates Training Certificates for training participants.
- β’ Analyses feedback and amends training programme as required.
- β’ Designs training manuals for internal documented procedures.
- β’ Provides information to early childhood institutions, practitioners, and trainers on training and development matters.
- β’ Provides assistance with the training analysis to determine gaps in training.
- β’ Assists with developing proposals for and implementing and monitoring special projects.
- β’ Maintains the training information and record-keeping system, and responds to queries.
- β’ Supports the submission of relevant reports, Workplace Skills Plans, and Annual Training Report to relevant external bodies.
Qualifications
- β’ BSc. in Education or equivalent qualifications.
- β’ Three years' experience in education, training and development or a related discipline.
