Responsibilities

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

• • Ensure that goods are being properly stored
• • Maintain the cleanliness of the aisles, shelves and bays in the warehouse
• • Sort all goods that are being delivered and shipped
• • Assist in receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching requests to completed pick lists and distribute to inventory for processing
• • Read requisitions to determine items to be picked and/ or shipped
• • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped
• • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets/ shelves or relocate orders to a holding area /shipping department.
• • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• • Wear the proper safety equipment.
• • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
• • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• • May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• • School Leaving Certificate
• • At least 5 CXC subject including Mathematics and English
• • At least 1 year experience in a similar capacity
