
Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator will supervise and coordinate activities for staff involved in maintaining and repairing machinery, mechanical equipment, surface, and building structures. You'll also liaison with contractors and consultants, monitor projects, and advise on their implementation. This role primarily operates on night shifts.
Responsibilities
- β’ Ability to diagnose and solve problems in higher technical areas.
- β’ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents and manuals, equipment specifications, diagnostic and calibration charts, and electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- β’ Ability to understand, interpret, and explain department policies and procedures.
- β’ Ability to prioritize and make decisions on repair methods.
- β’ Ability to perform installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical distribution systems and electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical equipment.
- β’ Good oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
- β’ Ability to offer technical advice to maintenance personnel on materials, processes, and designs as necessary.
Required Skills
- β’ Knowledge of building trades, practices, and skills.
- β’ Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and electrical distribution equipment.
- β’ Knowledge of Airport Preventative Maintenance Systems (APMS) and maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- β’ Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- β’ At least three years of on-the-job experience in a Maintenance Department, with exposure to all aspects of preventive maintenance programs.
- β’ Training in asphalt pavement failure, analysis, and repair.
- β’ Valid General driver's license.
