Supply Chain Support Officer Trainee

Summary

Reporting to the Dispatch and Depot Coordinator, the Supply Chain Support Officer weighs and checks bulk and bag cement to maintain relevant records. The incumbent is specifically required to scale ticket delivery receipts for bulk cement, bagged cement, raw materials, the ship list, and record daily deliveries of cement.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks:

  • • Weigh trucks, record licence number and driver’s name, and record the name of the company purchasing the cement.

• Seal trucks:

  • • Write the relevant information on the scale ticket.

• Record daily delivery figures:

  • • Record all information on daily deliveries, such as the amount of bulk, the amount of Carib Plus bags, and the amount of Jumbo bags.

• Prepare ship list:

  • • Ensure that the correct information is entered into the system.

• Record information on the scale ticket:

  • • Record the driver’s name, customer name, customer contact number, customer order number, customer licence number, and the amount of cement taken.
• • Print the amount of bulk and bags delivered.
• • Input daily deliveries into the computer.
• • Report daily dispatches to the Dispatch and Depot Coordinator, Packing Plant Supervisor or Manager, and Logistics Analyst.

Required Skills

• • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Intermediate-Advanced Excel).
• • Ability to accurately track information and report.
• • Good communication and customer service skills.
• • Teamwork.
• • Health and safety orientation.
• • Flexible scheduling (shift rotation).
• • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• • Minimum of 1 year of experience in bulk and bag scale operations (preferred).
