Loss Prevention Officer
Summary
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for implementing Loss Prevention Policy, procedures and strategies to safeguard company assets, prevent and minimize theft, reduce losses and investigate issues of crimes against the company.

Responsibilities
- • Identifies, recommends, and implements systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets.
- • Audits and investigates sources of known losses.
- • Monitors closely, with the support of the contracted security team, the loading and unloading of all containers/trucks.
- • Investigates suspicious activities on the compound.
- • Conducts periodic testing of security systems such as alarms, closed-circuit cameras /video surveillance systems.
- • Presides over company’s contracted security team at the facility.
- • Prepares reports on effectiveness of established prevention measures.
- • Researches, suggests, and implements additional security measures from time to time.
- • Works with law enforcement to detain suspects or dishonest persons on premises.
- • Monitor general areas for unusual activity and potential threats.
- • Reports promptly to the location Manager and Group Security Manager, any deviations from standard practices/behaviors at the facility.
- • Prepares and distributes appropriately, reports as defined by the Group Security Manager.
- • Ensure that only authorized people enter the compound
- • Performs any other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- • Extensive knowledge of loss prevention security strategies and procedures.
- • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and documentation
Qualifications
- • Diploma in Security or Management studies or prior training and service in the security forces or private security industry with a minimum 3 years working experience in the industry which can matriculate with the role and function of the job.
