Know Your Customer - Analyst

Summary

The person in this role is responsible conducting Know Your Client (KYC) reviews in line with client policy to fulfil Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. This could be for new client onboarding or periodic reviews. They are expected to deliver against targets for both productivity and quality, managing their pipeline and report the delivery metrics.

Responsibilities

• • Conducting Due Diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) research for clients as part of the business-wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance process for new client onboarding or existing refresh customers.
• • Performing self-sourcing of documents from external sources and client systems.
• • Performing a document gap analysis of additional documents required to complete the KYC case.
• • Executing and reviewing negative media alerts from client screening and escalate where necessary.
• • Conduct Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) screenings through World-Check to identify Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and heightened risk individuals and organizations
• • Analyze Ultimate Beneficial Ownership on KYC cases.
• • Packaging client due diligence research and documentation for review by Relationship Managers.
• • Performing KYC case enrichment and storing all documents in systems of record.
• • Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure consistent competency and KPIs are met.
• • Participate in creation of user guides and SOPs
• • Gather information from external sources and client systems to complete the KYC process.
• • Identify missing documents required for a complete KYC case.
• • Monitoring news and other sources for negative information related to clients.

• Ultimate Beneficial Ownership Analysis:

  • • Determining the true owners of accounts or entities.
• • Compile due diligence research and documentation for review by Relationship Managers.
• • Ensuring all relevant documents are stored appropriately in accordance with regulation requirements for document / data retention
• • Participate in the design and development of standard operating procedures and user guides.

Qualifications

• • Degree in Business Administration from an accredited college/university or any other related field
• • A minimum four 4 years’ experience, preferably in finance.
• • Experience in performing KYC (CDD and EDD) case processing work for financial institutions is a plus.
• • Solid verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgement skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
• • Ability to work independently and work well within a team.
• • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines.
• • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
