Senior Human Resources Officer
Summary
The Senior Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting daily HR operations, assisting in HR strategy development and implementation, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards across territories. Responsibilities
- β’ Support and lead in HR daily operations management ensuring efficient processes for talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
- β’ Contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with organizational goals and support long-term growth.
- β’ Implement and support HR policies, procedures, and programs in line with organizational goals and legal requirements in each assigned territory.
- β’ Develop, plan, and execute strategies for employee engagement, while fostering a positive organizational culture.
- β’ Manage the talent acquisition process for assigned territories ensuring timely recruitment of top talent.
- β’ Generate HR reports and analyze trends to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
- β’ Ensure accurate preparation and review of all monthly payroll documents for the territories and timely submissions for processing.
- β’ Collaborate with People Managers to ensure updated and accurate job descriptions for all positions.
- β’ Provide guidance to employees on policies and procedures.
- β’ Address and resolve employee conflicts, concerns, and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- β’ Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and ethical standards, while keeping the organization up to date on HR regulations impacting different territories. βββββββ
Required Skills
- β’ Demonstrated expertise in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- β’ Excellent working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
- β’ High level of confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
- β’ High level of initiative and maturity.
- β’ Expert knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- β’ In-depth knowledge of administration, analysis, and interpretation of psychometric tests.
- β’ Sound working experience of human resources statistical concepts, methods, and data collection.
- β’ Excellent communication, interpersonal, data analysis & interpretation and negotiating skills.
- β’ Exceptional time management, customer relations, team building skills.
- β’ Experience working within business environments across diverse cultures an asset.
Qualifications
- β’ Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field.
- β’ Minimum Three (3) years of relevant experience in human resources.
- β’ Sound working knowledge of Labour Laws (Jamaica and Eastern Caribbean)
