
Human Capital Manager
Summary
The Human Capital Manager will ensure that all aspects of human capital functions are congruent with the prevailing, established, and acceptable practices in the field and align with corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will:
- • Manage the human capital division, including personnel and resources, consistent with contemporary HC practices.
- • Ensure the human capital division achieves its periodic deliverables, consistent with stipulated deadlines.
- • Provide the needed and relevant guidance and support to all functional organs of the company in their pursuit of developmental and organizational objectives.
- • Provide monthly HC reports to the General Manager and the Board of Directors, including comparative analysis and recommendations.
- • Formulate, modify, implement, and monitor relevant HC policies.
Required Skills
- • Good strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- • Excellent dispute resolution and presentational skills.
- • Computer savvy and with sound working knowledge and experience of OrangeHRM and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent.
- • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as an HR Manager or Specialist.
- • Conversant, competent, and commandingly interactive with Jamaica Labour Laws, Labour Code, relevant ILO Conventions, settled matters (on employment issues), and the HR Landscape.
- • Working knowledge of the Ministry of Labour.

The position reports to the General Counsel of Liberty Caribbean and Liberty Networks. The senior manager contributes to our overall compliance and ethics program to ensure we operate ethically in all the markets in his or her operating region. The senior manager will work closely with our General Counsel to ensure the efficient operation of anti-corruption, sanctions, lawful intercept, data privacy, risk management and other compliance and ethics controls established by our parent company, Liberty Latin America, are in place and operating effectively in all Liberty Caribbean and Liberty Networks markets. The senior manager will lead our internal investigations that will require interdepartmental work and cooperation with all other internal teams. The senior manager will also work with our Internal Audit team to develop audit protocols and programs to audit our overall and regional compliance with anti-corruption and other compliance and ethics programs. The senior manager will respond to audit and other requests from and elevate certain ethics and compliance matters to the Head of Compliance and Ethics for our parent company, Liberty Latin America. Although a law degree is not a requirement for the position, the senior director should also have good general legal experience and detailed knowledge of various compliance frameworks such as FCPA, Sanctions, Data Privacy and how to conduct investigations.
