Data & Reporting Lead - Ignition Support
Summary
As the Data & Reporting Lead, you will be operations-focused with responsibilities for performing various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Business Hub/Ignition Center team (Ignition BH), including, but not limited to: data design & visualization, data mapping, data analysis, reports and dashboard generation. Additionally, the specialist handles various other tasks associated with Business Hub operations, with a focus on utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Excel (Power Query). The KJESS Data & Reporting Lead will take direction from the KJESS Functional Manager, Senior Manager and other Growth & Strategy client team members who are accountable for supported work.
Responsibilities
Service Delivery:
- • Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights
- • Utilize Power BI to build dynamic, interactive, and visually appealing dashboards and reports, and run DAX queries/functions
- • Identify requirements and develop custom charts and metrics accordingly
- • Build multi-dimensional data models
- • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI solutions such as reporting tools; enhance and optimize existing Power BI systems.
- • Analyze historical and current data to enable insights and effective decision making
- • Develop strong data documentation about measures, parameters, models
- • Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly operational and management reporting and dashboards that support Ignition’s business metrics
- • Develop insights from data on a recurring basis, relevant to business strategy and goals
- • Develop ad-hoc reports based on business and management’s needs
- • Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs for Ignition data reporting processes.
- • Encourage and support the identification of continuous improvement initiatives through knowledge sharing and best practices.
- • Assist with special projects, as needed, and any other duties as assigned by your reporting

Data Reporting Support – Performs and facilitates execution of administrative activities and procedures for the operation of an office or facility by:
- • Preparing and/or updating reports and dashboards, correspondence, and other documents.
- • Project Management - Creates and maintains an environment that guides a project to its successful completion. ​
Speaking and Listening – Effectively present and receive information and concepts, in both written and oral formats. Actively listen to ensure understanding by:
- • A concentrated focus on applying and enhancing knowledge and skill.
- • Applying this competency to situations frequently, while needing minimal guidance to perform successfully.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited educational institution or equivalent experience.
- • Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in Power BI and building data models in Power Query is required
- • 2 years project management, data analysis and reporting experience in a large organization is desired
- • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- • Proficiency in data wrangling, and data analysis
- • Proficiency in interpreting and managing unstructured data sets
- • Proficiency in Power Query
- • Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- • Organized, detail oriented, as well as a process improvement and operational mindset.
- • Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills. ​
Additional Information and Instructions
