Customer Service Representative
Summary
To pro-actively administer the insurance needs/portfolio of clients and to generate new business growth through advisory skills, market knowledge, follow up and auxiliary services to the client's satisfaction and within the company's guidelines.
Responsibilities
- • Secure suitable markets and discuss with clients for implementation
- • Bind coverage with Insurance companies and prepare accurate documentation in accordance with service standards.
- • Interview and provide professional advice to clients on Insurance matters at the request of the clients.
- • Ensure that all assigned follow ups are completed by scheduled dates
- • Ensure all POCA requirements are current for all client accounts
- • Anticipate, initiate and provide advice on insurance/risk management matters pertinent to the proper protection of assets and liabilities of the client.
Required Skills
- • Effective communication skills - oral & written.
- • Customer/client focus.
- • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use the Microsoft Suite of applications, and other applicable programmes for which use may be required in the carrying out of the assigned duties.
- • Strong organizational skills.
- • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- • Capability of effective planning and priority setting to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
- • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, evaluate and make judgment on various reconciliation items.
Qualifications
- • At least one to two years’ experience within the insurance industry in a customer service capacity accompanied by sound product knowledge
- • Passes in four (4) GCE O’Level or CXC (General) subjects including Mathematics and English
- • Working knowledge of Motor and Property classes of General Insurance
- • Registered Salesman in Motor and Property classes of business
