Fleet Supervisor
Summary
The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating and ensuring the assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles. While administering external and internal policy compliance.
Responsibilities
- • Prepare/Maintain schedule for service/repair of company fleet vehicles.
- • Preparation of purchase requisitions for repair/service.
- • Prepare Goods/service Receipt Note (GRN) for goods and services received.
- • Coordinate activities with supplier and follow-up on service/repairs.
- • Ensure Vehicle Maintenance files are properly updated.
- • Prepare and maintain Vehicle Replacement Schedule.
- • Prepare and maintain vehicle battery usage tracker.
- • Prepare vehicle performance monthly reports.
- • Evaluate performance of suppliers and service providers and provide report to Fleet Manager.
- • Ensure invoices are received/collected, recorded and submitted for payment in a timely manner.
- • Coordinate and supervisor the use and maintenance of pool vehicles.
- • Conduct quarterly cost of ownership and make recommendations with regards to performance of Fleet Vehicles.
- • Monitor vehicle abuse and report same to Fleet Manager.
- • Ensure quality checks are conducted on vehicles returned from servicing/repairs
- • Coordinate the installation and maintenance of Fleet Management Solution device in vehicles and equipment
- • Supervise/coordinate the periodic inspection/audit of vehicles as requested by Fleet Manager.
- • Supervise/coordinate the completion/adherence to Truck Daily Inspection Check sheet.
- • Assist with preparation of Fleet Budget
Required Skills
- • Strong knowledge of Heavy duty vehicle and equipment
- • An effective communicator with the ability to prepare and present data and reports
- • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
Qualifications
- • 5 years experience in Maintenance of Mobile Equipment
- • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
