Accounting Manager

Summary

The Accounting Manager will manage the depot's revenue, expenditure, fixed asset accounting, budgeting, stores, and other financial custodianship functions in accordance with the controls established by Head Office, and ensure that the business activities of the depot are properly accounted for and performance is accurately reported. The JUTC is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act of Jamaica and owned by the Government of Jamaica (GOJ). Reporting to the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the JUTC, effective April 01, 2025, will be providing public transit services in the western region, servicing the parishes of Trelawny, St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, and St. Elizabeth. The Company will deliver public transport services seven days a week and, in some instances, up to 16 hours a day. We, therefore, invite suitably qualified persons to fill the following posts for its Montego Bay Depot, effective April 01, 2025. 💰Salary: $6,300,000 JMD per annum payable monthly, and related benefits.

Required Skills

• • High competencies in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• • Practical familiarity with inventory control procedures.

• • Pay keen attention to details and probe any and all unusual occurrences.

• • Knowledge of the Sage 300 system would be an asset.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, ACCA Level II, or equivalent qualification.
• • At least two (2) years' working experience within the accounting field at a senior level.
