Stores (Inventory) Clerk

Summary

The Best Dressed Chicken Division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stores (Inventory) Clerk to join our dynamic team at our Hatchery facility, located in White Marl, St. Catherine. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

This individual will provide technical expertise and hands-on support through tasks such as:

• • Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory items
• • Issue stock items based on authorized requisitions
• • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts
• • Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels
• • Ensure adherence to warehouse safety and organization standards
• • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality and safety systems
• • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures.
• • Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets and inventory management software.
• • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, manage multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
• • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or production environment.

• Other Requirements:

  • • Flexibility regarding work schedules, including the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, as required.
  • • Willingness to work on a contractual basis.
