Summary

Reconcile all third-party payments files and ensure that corrective actions are taken, and anomalies adjusted.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile all third-party files and ensure that data is submitted to the Corporate Accounting team.
  • Reconcile Jamaica National Bank payments with the electronic payment sheet and process voids received via e-mail daily.
  • Check daily updates notifications to ensure that all files are received.
  • Compare frequent update files received with system updates and identify any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit third party reports within the stipulated timeframes.
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.

Required Skills

  • Sound human relations and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) CSEC general proficiency subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Successful completion of LOMA (parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designation.
  • At least two (2) years working experience including one (1) year in an operations division of a life insurance company.
