Mail Assistant
Summary
Stamp, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail. Batch, record, deliver, file and retrieve claims in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- • Receive/collect, date stamp, sort and distribute mail to the relevant staff members.
- • Sort, date stamp and batch provider health claims.
- • Assist with claim logging or data entry.
- • Assist with the filing and retrieval of health claims
- • Maintain and update spreadsheets with weekly activities and submit a monthly report to the unit’s supervisor.
- • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
- • Basic knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- • The ability to communicate effectively.
- • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- • A minimum of six (6) subjects at the GCE (Ordinary) or CXC (General Proficiency) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
- • Successful completion of HIA or LOMA introductory levels 1 & 2 would be considered an asset.
- • A minimum of two (2) years working experience would be an asset.
