Freelance Pharmacist- ValuDrug Bog Walk

Summary

As a Freelance Pharmacist at ValuDrug Bog Walk you are responsible for proper management of the inventory and will adhere to the legal and ethical guidelines to ensure the correct and safe supply of medical products to the general public. In the dispensing, the Pharmacist will ensure that the patients are duly counseled. The Pharmacist will also monitor the sales of over-the-counter medical products and instruct patients on the use of medicines and medical devices. Specialist health checks, such as blood pressure monitoring and diabetes screening will be done. Note: Work Schedule is Saturdays Only.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Operations:

  • • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently using the appropriate protocols.
  • • Communicate effectively with patients regarding medication queries and counsels.
  • • Monitor patient health outcomes and support therapeutic regimens.
  • • Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceuticals and clinical practices.
  • • Assess and manage medication therapy for patients.
  • • Manage and oversee the pharmacy inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and expiration monitoring.
  • • Document and maintain accurate patient records and dispensing logs.
  • • Provide health education and counseling to patients on the safe and effective use of medications.

• Collaboration & Leadership:

  • • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices.

• Accountability:

  • • Patients receive timely and accurate pharmaceutical care.
  • • All regulatory compliance is upheld.
  • • A positive and informative customer service environment is maintained.
  • • Inventory management is conducted efficiently.

Qualifications

• • Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
• • Registered Pharmacist
• • Minimum 2 year of experience in a pharmaceutical setting.
• • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
