Senior Accountant, Pensions
Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant, Pensions to manage and supervise the financial affairs of JN Fund Managers Limited. This role includes preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards for all pension fund activities. You will report directly to the Accounting Manager and oversee two staff members. The incumbent manages the annual strategic planning process, monitors the Group’s strategic priorities and supports the execution of local and international expansion opportunities. Using the Balance Scorecard framework the incumbent is responsible for conducting timely and ongoing analysis of the Group’s performance against targets and providing information, analysis, and recommendations to the Group, Company, and Divisional heads on the achievement of business targets. The role is a rich, multi-faceted combination of management, strategy and hands-on commercial responsibility which will see you challenged and rewarded.

Responsibilities
- • Fund Reporting:
- • Perform financial reporting for pension funds, including JN Individual Retirement Scheme and JN Pooled Pension Funds.
- • Prepare management accounts and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with IFRS and service level agreements.

- • Financial Review:
- • Review monthly journal entries and financial statements for pension plans, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- •
- • Valuations:
- • Ensure monthly fair value calculations for all segregated pension funds are accurate and compliant with standards.
- •
- • Payment Oversight:
- • Approve daily payment requisitions and confirm transaction details.
- •
- • Advisory:
- • Provide accounting guidance to Asset Management and present financial reports to Trustees.
- •
- • Success Metrics:
- • Accurate and timely preparation of financial reports.
- • Adherence to audit schedules and regulatory requirements.
- • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- •
Required Skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- • Strong knowledge of accounting and mathematical principles.
Qualifications
- • ACCA Level 2 or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- • Minimum of 3 years in an accounting role.
