Learning & Development Officer - Field Force & Administration

Summary

Design, develop and deliver training and development programmes aimed at improving/ expanding the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the field force and administrative team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct, present and facilitate in-house training sessions for our field force team, as well as some joint sessions for the administrative and upload course material to the Unit’s web-site.
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend the use of external providers and monitor the quality of the presentations.
  • Design, adapt and/ or update a wide range of training courses, seminars and workshops for field force team and submit them to the Manager of Group Learning and Development, for approval.
  • Train Branch and Unit Managers to conduct micro level on-the-job training for their respective Financial Advisors, including the development of the appropriate procedural manuals.
  • Design, adapt and/ or update course evaluation systems and conduct evaluations, including an impact assessment following the completion of courses.
  • Design, adapt and/ or update instructional materials for the field force training as well as some joint training sessions with the administrative team.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of formal and informal training needs analyses.
  • Assist with evaluating and making recommendations for enhancements to computer technology that will provide support to the field and administrative team.
  • Assist with the development and execution of development programmes.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or Education from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Teacher training, or certification in training from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least three (3) years’ working experience in training and/ or adult education.
  • Successful completion of LOMA 280 and 290.
  • Good knowledge of curriculum development, instructional methods and training evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of individual and group insurance products.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Good research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
