Cloud Administrator

Summary

The Cloud Administrator will be responsible for the management of Cloud Services and related Server Infrastructure to maintain performance at optimum levels. He/she will assist in running various system Services on a 24×7 basis. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up the Cloud Service environment using VMware stack with installation and configuration of Virtualization environment, clustering over storage area network (SAN) environment. The incumbent will also be responsible for setting up of Cloud infrastructure with self-service-provisioning and monitoring services using various software/tools. He/she will be responsible for the administration and troubleshooting of Cloud Infrastructure like Hypervisor, Virtual Machines (VMs), and Virtual Networks and Storage. The salary is J$4.82 million per annum plus any current allowances attached to this position.

Responsibilities

• • Ensures Cloud Service environment are established using VMware stack with installation and configuration of Virtualization environment.
• • Ensures proper configuration of virtualization environment for hosting VMs with HA and performance tuning and security hardening.
• • Establishes Cloud infrastructure with self-service-provisioning and monitoring services using various software/tools. Setting up the Data protection mechanism at remote sites using tool like VMware SRM /VSphere replication and VDP.
• • Writes Power shell/Shell scripts, Perl/PHP script for batch programming and system monitoring.
• • Provides architectural consulting expertise and assistance to Analysts, Engineers and Architects.

Qualifications

• • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration from a recognized tertiary institution
• • Five (5) years of relevant experience in management, with exposure to cloud computing environment
• • Experience in leading architecture and design of highly scalable, available, and elastic solutions that implement industry best practices using cloud services
• • Experience in the provision of technical support for at least three major information systems is desirable for this position
• • Professional level certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is desirable.
