Responsibilities
As a Project Manager in Kingston, Jamaica, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and driving the implementation of multiple medium-sized to large-scale process transitions, migrations, or internal projects. This includes negotiating and owning SLAs and KPIs until the transition or migration is complete. Also, an efficient transition project manager must strictly adhere to the transition framework throughout the project planning, execution, and delivery phases.
- β’ Demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to independently lead transition projects. Also, ensure on-time completion of projects with minimal post-go-live issues while maintaining Project Management discipline.
- β’ Execute transitions by keeping costs, budget, time, and resources aligned with the signed-off transition plan.
- β’ Efficient stakeholder management includes the following: 1. Meet and exceed stakeholder expectations; 2. Keep an eye on stakeholder requirements and expectations; 3. Deliver a solution meeting the agreed requirements; 4. Conduct periodic meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status and performance while closely monitoring to resolve open issues.
- β’ Support the development of transition and programs using the Transition Framework (managing risk, governance, quality assurance, issue resolution, and reporting), where the successful implementation of service resource skills and processes are just as critical to project success as technology, compliance, and mitigation of financial and delivery risk.
- β’ Set up the transition plan and assign resources while implementing best practices for transition planning and transition management.
- β’ As a transition project manager, coordinate the management of milestones, actions, issues, risks, and decisions related to transition activities. Also, ensure all operational areas are prepared to introduce new services or solutions.
- β’ Oversee the stabilization period, ensuring quality measures are met before project closure.
- β’ Manage communications with all stakeholders to ensure an effective handover of new/changed services into the production/operations environment and the internal and external stakeholder user communities.
- β’ Ensure relevant training is provided as needed and enforce strict commercial and scope change control to manage deviations.
- β’ Adhere to relevant escalation processes to escalate resource issues, delayed project phases, missed deadlines, and other planning issues.
- β’ Ensure that products and services delivered within the transition meet agreed timelines, managing interdependencies and escalating issues as needed in the case of delays in timelines or budgets.
- β’ Review the outcomes of each transition and apply lessons learned to ongoing and future projects within the programs.
- β’ Track action and task logs. Moreover, knowledge of transition models and approaches will also be an added advantage for a project manager for the transition team in Kingston, Jamaica.
- β’ Manage the transition of in-scope processes, ensuring the successful execution of transitions. This includes preparing a transition and training plan, developing and signing off detailed SOPs, aligning and approving operating metrics, and ensuring processes are transitioned as per agreed SLAs.
Qualifications
- β’ Education: Graduate in any specialization.
- β’ Experience: More than five years of overall experience, with at least six months to one year of experience in BPO Project Management.
- β’ Strong project management and documentation skills.
- β’ Excellent presentation skills.
- β’ Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.etc.).
- β’ Familiarity with project management tools, including MST, Jira, or other similar applications, is a plus.
- β’ PMP certification is desirable for this project manager role.
- β’ Acceptance: Open to international travel and ready to accommodate any shift as required.
