Junior Buyer
Summary
To provide transactional support in the Source to Pay process in the acquisition of goods and services required in the organization utilizing purchase to pay tools including but not limited to for use in creating Operational Agreements, Call-off purchase orders and creating call-off purchase orders. He/ She will also help to reduce costs and improve the value of the supplier and initiates and manages a select Business Services and category spend with internal customers, suppliers, customers and/or consumers
Responsibilities
- • Develop and implement category and sourcing strategy for both managed spend and global by providing data, and sharing developments with the Global procurement teams.
- • Perform internal analysis, provide input into local, regional opportunity assessment for cost saving projects (value engineering, lower transaction costs, SKU rationalisation, cash improvement)
- • Provide supporting information for internal and external analysis
- • Define high level implementation plan and share with stakeholders
- • Provide input cost estimation according to budget planning process
- • Identify and validate requirements of stakeholder (volumes, specifications and service levels)
- • Provide information inputs to perform internal and external analysis of market and suppliers
- • Monitor market developments and internal supplier performance
- • Support the tender and negotiate contracts for Business and Commerce spend
- • Support the implementation and administration of contract tracking in organisation’s system (
- • Enable purchase to pay process (on item level)
- • Handover of contract to internal stakeholders/requestors
- • Measure and evaluate supplier performance
- • Settle operational / logistical issues, and administrative claims for managed categories and report claims for Centre Lead Categories
- • Minimise impacts of contract termination by thorough preparation and proper execution

Qualifications
- • University degree in business, finance, commercial, economic or technical discipline or the equivalent qualified by experience
- • Professional qualifications such as CPSM/CPM would be an asset
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement, preferably within a beverages FMCG company
