Production Assistant - The Entertainment Report
Summary
The Production Assistant generally work at least a 40 hour week in office and on shoots with the Producer, as well as goes to various entertainment events including at night and on weekends. The ideal candidate is aware of and interested in various events and happenings on the music and social scene in Jamaica
Responsibilities
- • Support all areas of production before, during, and after a shoot.
- • Research archive for relevant footage
- • Research internet for relevant information, available footage etc for productions
- • Book crew for daily shoots
- • Book guests for interviews as assigned by the producer
- • Prepare location and fellow crew members for filming.
- • Conduct interviews as assigned by the producer
- • Coordinate and communicate with fellow production staff.
- • Help ensure smooth operations while on location
- • Support post-production process with producer and editors
- • Escort guests around studio.
- • Create, print and distribute production-related paperwork.
- • Undertake errands as assigned.
Required Skills
- • Energetic, willing to help, attention to details
- • Good communication skills
- • Keen sense of responsibility
- • At least one-year experience in film/ video production
Qualifications
- • Five (5) GCE/CXC passes inclusive of English Language
- • Training in and knowledge of the use of studio equipment and production techniques
- • Ability to create, research, produce programmes/recordings
