Logistics Clerk
Summary
The Logistics Clerk is a crucial member of our logistics team, responsible for ensuring that all aspects of distribution and transportation operations run smoothly. This role focuses on managing documentation, coordinating shipments, and maintaining communication between suppliers, customers, and internal teams, ultimately facilitating the efficient movement of goods.

Responsibilities
- • Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.
- • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries, optimizing routes and performance to minimize costs and improve service.
- • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and logistics activities, updating the warehouse management system as required.
- • Assist in tracking shipments, resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process promptly.
- • Communicate regularly with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to provide updates and address any logistical concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- • Perform daily analysis of shipping data to identify trends and discrepancies, making recommendations for improved efficiency within logistics operations.
- • Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock levels and timely restocking of products based on current demands.
- • Assist with the implementation of logistics policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- • Support other logistical tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team.
Required Skills
- • Familiarity with shipping regulations and documentation processes.
- • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- • Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- • Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
- • Associate's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles.
