Cost Controller
Summary
As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or services to assist management in bidding on or determining the price of a product or service.
Responsibilities
- • Develop and maintain financial processes and systems to support cost estimating, budgeting, and project management.
- • Prepare and submit timely and accurate cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or services.
- • Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- • Collaborate with internal teams to determine project scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
- • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and take corrective action as needed.
- • Review contracts, proposals, and bids to ensure compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints.
- • Provide financial support and guidance to managers and teams across the organization.
- • Maintain confidentiality of financial and proprietary company information.
- • Stay current on industry trends, practices, and regulations to ensure the company is using best practices and meeting compliance requirements.
- • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certifications:
- • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
- • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
Work Experience:
- • Provides leadership to managers and professional associates
- • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple teams
- • Develops departmental plans
- • Decision-making is guided by department/district objectives
- • Has 7 to 10 years of work experience
- • Has 1 to 3 years of management experience
