Summary

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or services to assist management in bidding on or determining the price of a product or service.

Responsibilities

  • • Develop and maintain financial processes and systems to support cost estimating, budgeting, and project management.
  • • Prepare and submit timely and accurate cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or services.
  • • Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • • Collaborate with internal teams to determine project scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
  • • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and take corrective action as needed.
  • • Review contracts, proposals, and bids to ensure compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints.
  • • Provide financial support and guidance to managers and teams across the organization.
  • • Maintain confidentiality of financial and proprietary company information.
  • • Stay current on industry trends, practices, and regulations to ensure the company is using best practices and meeting compliance requirements.
  • • Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred.
    • • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Certifications:

    • • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    • • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
    • • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
    • • Additional certifications may be required or preferred
  • Work Experience:

    • • Provides leadership to managers and professional associates
    • • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple teams
    • • Develops departmental plans
    • • Decision-making is guided by department/district objectives
    • • Has 7 to 10 years of work experience
    • • Has 1 to 3 years of management experience
