Full-Time Nurse

Summary

Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the position of: FULL-TIME NURSE in the HR/Medical Department at the Ewarton Works and Port Esquivel locations, St. Catherine

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to provide sessions on three shifts. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• • Supervising and managing the operations of the Industrial Health Centre on shifts.
• • Making sound decisions and taking initiative regarding the treatment and management of occupational emergencies, medical emergencies, and illnesses.
• • Arranging for and assisting with the medical examinations of employees (periodic medicals) and job applicants (pre-employment medicals).

Qualifications

• • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or its equivalent.
• • At least five (5) years' experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife working in a hospital setting (critical care and Accident & Emergency Registered Nurse would be a distinct advantage).
• • *Retirees may apply.
• • A valid license from the Nursing Council of Jamaica.
• • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent oral communication skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• • A reliable motor car would be an asset.
