
Group Treasury & Asset Management Operations Officer
Summary
Perform the daily transactions that support the activities of the Group Treasury and Asset Management Operations team with greater focus on the Sagicor Investments (Cayman) portfolio. Give support to the compiling and submitting of the necessary files, ensuring proper record maintenance for the portfolio while ensuring that all securities involved in settlement are received. Monitor, research and post interest/coupon and principal payments and the processing of Trades and Corporate Investment Notes. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the system data ensuring that the entire spectrum of the Securities & Treasury Settlement transactions are properly executed for the relevant entities of the Sagicor Group.
Responsibilities
- • Promote quality service standards by observing and delivering consistent quality service in compliance with Service Level Agreements.
- • Attend approved training courses to enhance the development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance.
- • Perform activities and assessments to facilitate the streamlining of the operations for the SICL portfolio.
- • Maintain the register of holdings for SICL.
- • Prepare monthly and weekly reconciliations of the securities’ registers, broker statements, SSnC / Clearwater records and Bloomberg records.
- • Prepare daily trade files and DSR for SSnC / GDT templates for Clearwater.
- • Respond to SSnC / GDT templates accounting breaks and interest payments as per established procedures and SLAs.
- • Update, allocate & reconcile Treasury positions in Bloomberg.
- • Process SICL transactions / movement of securities between brokers.
- • Process deals/wires as well as withdrawals/transfers for client portfolios.
- • Prepare confirmation letters.
- • Monitor the activity on SICL’s overseas and local brokers’ account to ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
- • Perform any other job-related duties assigned to the Operations Division from time to time.
Required Skills
- • Exceptional analytical skills, strong oral and written communications skills, meticulous and detail-oriented.
- • Must be a team player, problem solver, critical thinker, self-motivated and possess integrity and a strong work ethic.
- • Proficiency in the use of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- • Able to easily adapt to changing priorities.
- • Sound knowledge of settlements procedures.
- • Working knowledge of various settlements systems both local and international.
- • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members at all levels, stakeholders and officials of other public and private entities.
Qualifications
- • A Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Finance or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- • At least two (2) years’ working experience in a financial institution.
- • Completion of the Caribbean Securities Course would be an asset.
