Bearer

Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient, reliable and confidential bearer services for the Credit Union’s branches in Montego Bay, Lucea, and Falmouth. Duties include the collection, delivery and distribution of mail, documents, packages and goods, with due consideration to deadlines and safety, confirming the accuracy of receivals and deliveries, and consistently maintaining thorough records. The Bearer is also required to conduct business transactions and carry out errands on behalf of the Credit Union.

Qualifications

• • Secondary school education
• • Numerate and literate
• • Valid driver’s licence and excellent driving record
• • Reliable motor vehicle suitably insured and licensed (CC plate)
• • Clean Police Record
• • Knowledgeable about the Montego Bay, Lucea, and Falmouth areas and able to plan and follow the safest and most efficient routes for carrying out job functions
• • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
• • High level of confidentiality, honesty and integrity
• • Dress, grooming and deportment must properly represent the Credit Union
• • Service- and results-oriented with good time management and organizational skills
• • Sound judgement and keen attention to detail
• • Safety and security conscious
• • Flexible, co-operative, and willing to work outside of normal office hours from time to time
• • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position in a medium or large organization
• • Physically fit with the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
