
Plumbing Technician - Couples Sans Souci
Summary
The Plumbing Technician is responsible to ensure proper functioning of plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the hotel. The scope encompasses various responsibilities related to installation, maintenance, repair, inspection of plumbing systems and equipment as well as daily monitoring of the sewage plant. This position also includes operational and daily maintenance of reverse osmosis plant and related in-take systems
Responsibilities
- β’ Operate, monitor, inspect, repair, and maintain the Reverse Osmosis plant to produce optimum flow and quality of potable water.
- β’ Operate and control filtration, electric motor pumps, and valves to regulate the flow of raw water into the treatment plant.
- β’ Maintain the treatment plant systems manually, via HMI, and using SCADA.
- β’ Prepare log sheets and work orders for servicing and repairs, ranging from routine maintenance in hotel rooms, facilities, and the property in general.
- β’ Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, valves, faucets, toilets, showers, sinks, and drainage systems.
- β’ Ensure that installations and repairs adhere to building codes, manufacturer specifications, and hotel standards.
- β’ Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to detect potential issues, leaks, blockages, or corrosion.
- β’ Address minor issues promptly to prevent them from developing into major problems that could disrupt hotel operations.
- β’ Diagnose plumbing problems, leaks, clogs, or malfunctions using specialized tools and techniques to identify root causes and provide effective solutions.
Required Skills
- β’ Thorough knowledge of hotel plumbing systems, components, codes, and regulations.
- β’ The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- β’ The ability to work flexible hours.
- β’ The ability to work well under pressure in a customer-centric and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- β’ Diploma or Certificate in Plumbing or related field.
- β’ Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
- β’ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position in a luxurious All-Inclusive Resort.
