Videographer

Summary

Contribute to the overall visual quality of all productions through effective and creative camera work.

Responsibilities

• • Ensure video shots meet quality standards for sharpness, lighting, and composition, and that audio quality is high.
• • Frame objects/actions cinematically at angles that enhance the production or align with the Technical/Creative Director's instructions.
• • Ensure lighting quality produces the agreed-upon effect/mood with the Director.
• • Keep camera and optics clean.
• • Transport camera, audio, and lighting equipment carefully in their proper cases.
• • Regularly inspect camera, audio, and lighting equipment to ensure maintenance and working ability.
• • Ensure the quality of the sound (sharpness, clarity, balance) of the production.

Qualifications

• • A Certificate in cinematography or comparable equivalent.
• • Demonstrable skill in handling state-of-the-art video/film equipment.

• Experience/Learned Disciplines:

  • • At least two years' experience in television production.
  • • Appreciation of the elements which create good photographic/videographic scenes.
  • • Creativity and flexibility.
  • • Good interpersonal skills.
