
Cybersecurity Analyst
Summary
Jamaican Infrastructure Operator Limited is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join their team. This critical role will ensure the security and integrity of information systems and digital infrastructure for TransJam operations. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a pivotal role in monitoring for threats, responding to incidents, and implementing security measures to safeguard tolling systems, financial data, operational technology, and other critical assets.
Responsibilities
Threat Detection and Prevention:
- • Monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- • Deploy and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection software.
- • Implement strategies to mitigate risks, including malware, phishing, ransomware, and insider threats.
Incident Response:
- • Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
- • Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery efforts in the event of a security event.
- • Document incidents and conduct post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence.
System Security:
- • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of IT and OT infrastructure.
- • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
- • Manage access controls, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to sensitive systems and data.
Policy and Training:
- • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
- • Provide regular updates to management on the state of cybersecurity and areas for improvement.
- • Stay informed on evolving cybersecurity trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure organizational resilience.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- • 2 - 5 years' experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role.
- • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Pen-Test+, CASP+, CEH, or similar.
- • Experience with Fortinet Security Fabric (Firewall, Switches, Authenticator, etc.).
- • Knowledge of drafting policies as it relates to network security.
- • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
