Messenger/Driver

Summary

The Jamaica Bauxite Institute seeks to engage a qualified and experienced individual for the following position: Messenger/Driver 💰Salary: $1,181,428 – $1,588,889 per annum

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Office and Transport Manager, the Messenger/Driver will be required to:

• • Clear the Institute's mailbox on a daily basis and deliver mail to the Office Clerk.
• • Deliver and collect letters and other items as directed, and obtain the necessary acknowledgments of all deliveries.
• • Ensure that the fleet vehicle is in good working condition, always kept clean, and serviced as per schedule.
• • Transport staff members as required.
• • Mail all letters, documents, etc., (collected from various offices) on a daily basis.
• • Perform routine mechanical checks on a weekly basis to ensure proper functioning of the vehicle.
• • Deliver packages to customers in a timely manner.
• • Collect office purchases or other administrative needs as per request.
• • Update monthly mileage records.
• • Collect, check, and sign for packages at their respective collection points.

Qualifications

• • Five CXCs inclusive of English Language
• • Possession of a current General Driver's License (6000kg)

Additional Information and Instructions
