Accounting Officer - Audit Confirmation (3-month Contract)
Summary
Ensure accurate and timely audit confirmations are prepared and delivered to requestors. Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations for Sagicor Group as required.
Responsibilities
- • Ensure accurate and timely audit confirmations are prepared and delivered to requestors.
- • Prepare various audit schedules monthly within Group Standards.
- • Contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Bank Reconciliation Unit by
- • Manage and monitor internal controls to ensure they are maintained in accordance with Group procedures.
- • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
- • Good knowledge of accounting techniques and frameworks.
- • Good knowledge of Bank Reconciliation Processes.
- • Familiarity with computerised Accounting System.
- • Strong team player.
- • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Qualifications
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- • At least three (3) years’ working experience in accounting.
