We are seeking a Pineapple Team Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be results-oriented, highly motivated, and possess high integrity to be a part of our dynamic Farm team, charged with supporting crop management.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute farm plans for the day-to-day activities in the field and at the packhouse.
  • Develop weekly pineapple work plans for field practices and worker assignments.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the Pineapple Plant Population database, which includes verifying accuracy of data submitted, including population and GPS area data.
  • Supervise land preparation and water management plans (topographic plans and measurements taken).
  • Manage land development and field cost budget, reporting on deviations against budget.
  • Manage, on a weekly basis, crop management software and prepare Crop KPI Reports.
  • Manage pineapple induction process, induction efficiency analysis, and report deviations.
  • Other responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

    • Monitor and report on field labor evaluation quality for each laborer.
    • Ensure safety protocols and operational procedures are observed and required protection gear is utilized.
    • Responsible for safety meetings, worker disciplinary action, and accident reports.
    • Monitor and evaluate reported opportunities until corrected and provide appropriate feedback.

Required Skills

  • Competence in MS Suite, GPS mapping, and land surveying.
  • Must be mature, responsible, honest, flexible, and hands-on.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Team player and goal-oriented.
  • Process-driven and strong appreciation for deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-crop farming environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in General Agriculture or its equivalent with experience in a farm environment.
