Summary

The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible for using their knowledge of company products to connect with customers and generate sales. They are responsible for identifying a customer’s need, pitching relevant products, and ensuring the customer has a positive experience from start to finish by selling products, building relationships with clients, meeting customer needs, achieving sales targets set by the company as well as the management and collection of outstanding payments in assigned territories.

Responsibilities

  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within established timelines.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Function as the liaison between the customer and the credit and collections unit of the company.
  • Monitor, identify and collect overdue payments.
  • Ensure that credit limits and terms are strictly adhered to.
  • Follow up monthly on all outstanding invoices and seek to resolve before the accounting period is closed.
  • Visit Pharmacies/doctors in assigned territory on a weekly basis.
  • Identify opportunities for product growth or business efficiency.
  • Identify prospective customers, as well as developing long-term relationships with existing ones.
  • Prepare and submit activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses

Required Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or another related field
  • At Least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar field
  • Additional Requirement:

    • Access to a reliable motor vehicle duly registered and insured along with a valid driver’s license.
