Summary

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion. You are a reliable, contributing member of a team. In our fast-paced environment, you are expected to adapt, take ownership and consistently deliver quality work that drives value for our clients and success as a team.

Responsibilities

Examples of the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to lead and deliver value at this level include but are not limited to:

• • Assist with audit assignments for a variety of business types.
• • Perform and document audit work on specifically assigned areas of the audit, under the supervision of an audit senior or manager.

• Other duties:

  • • compliance testing of selected transactions; circularisation of selected interim and year end ledger balances; physical inspection tests (eg. inventory observations) and the review of accounting records for patterns, oddities and potential problem from a range of sources to analyse facts and discern patterns.
• • Commit to understanding how the business works and building commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• • Good knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
