Depot Operations Manager

Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, the Depot Operations Manager will be responsible for supervising bus operations and related systems and processes to provide safe, courteous, and reliable transportation services along all routes assigned to the Depot. The JUTC is a limited liability company incorporated under the Companies Act of Jamaica and owned by the Government of Jamaica (GOJ). Reporting to the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, the JUTC, effective April 01, 2025, will be providing public transit services in the western region, servicing the parishes of Trelawny, St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, and St. Elizabeth. The Company will deliver public transport services seven days a week and, in some instances, up to 16 hours a day. We, therefore, invite suitably qualified persons to fill the following posts for its Montego Bay Depot, effective April 01, 2025. 💰Salary: $6,300,000 JMD per annum payable monthly, and related benefits.

Required Skills

• • Sound knowledge of bus operations, including regulations and policies.
• • Sound knowledge of the road network within Montego Bay and its environs.
• • Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.
• • Ability to use data to establish and analyze trends.
• • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff at various levels.
• • Excellent communication skills.
• • Must exhibit strong leadership and management skills.
• • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• • Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced and highly complex work environment.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor of Science Degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent qualification.
• • Three (3) years' working experience as a middle manager in operations or a related discipline.
