
Applications Processing Associate (Contract)
Summary
Provide support in the processing of merchant applications & requests for services offered by the Cards & Payments Unit including, but not limited to, POS, MPOS, and eCommerce. Ensure that applications are processed within the set guidelines of the department. Liaise with clients, internal and external partners to ensure proper execution of duties. Verify documentation related to applications. Provide client service to new and existing clients and participate in activities which support the accurate and timely collection of fees and fines.
Responsibilities
- • Review all applications for new clients to determine if all KYC & AML regulations have been met.
- • Liaise with the POS adjudication team to ensure applications and files are perfected.
- • Maintain merchant files.
- • Contact clients, as required.
- • Assist with client service inquiries and ensure proper resolution by responsible party.
- • Ensure the accuracy and validity of information being entered into SBJ’s systems.
- • Maintain accurate merchant data.
- • Ensure merchant accounts are set up correctly.
- • Work with merchants to resolve any data discrepancies, if necessary.
- • Ensure merchant information is filed accurately and timely.
- • Ensure merchant files are kept current in line with business activity.
- • Participate in archiving of closed files, when necessary.
- • Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned.
Required Skills
- • Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and/or client service.
- • An aptitude to learn technical aspects of the payments industry and products.
- • Working understanding of the use of technology as it relates to the use of the internet, mobile phones and phone applications, and credit cards.
- • Working knowledge of the Banking Industry.
- • Proven ability to operate within a multi-project environment and perform under tight deadlines, with high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
- • Excellent communication skills.
- • High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
Qualifications
- • Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Computer Science or any other related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the financial services, client service, marketing, or sales industry.
