Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities

• • Prepares monthly and biweekly salaries and other payments to staff.
• • Manages the Petty cash/Imprest system.
• • Maintains accounting and financial records for final accounts.
• • Maintains internal financial controls and procedures.
• • Processes receipts and makes lodgments.
• • Ensures suppliers are paid and invoices endorsed.
• • Prepares responses to Audit Query.
• • Conducts internal and external accounts audits.
• • Undertakes financial administration.
• • Calculates monthly, quarterly and end of year accounts.
• • Prepares income and expenditure statements, bank reconciliation, et al.
• • Monitors and controls Financial transactions, income and expenditure.
• • Prepares annual and monthly budget reports, commentaries and financial statements.
• • Prepares annual returns of NIS, Education Tax, NHT and Income Tax.
• • Prepares monthly GCT and GART returns.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Management Studies with Accounting/BBA degree from an accredited University.
• • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Accounting.
• • Minimum two (2) years managerial experience.
OR
• • ACCA Level 2 with at least five (5) years' related experience.
OR
• • ASc. Degree in Accounting, along with the Diploma in Government Accounting from MIND with eight (8) years relevant experience.
