Accounting Clerk
Summary
The Accounting Clerk will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for ensuring timely payment of invoices and other functions assigned. The position is essential to the support and smooth operations of the Accounts Department.
Responsibilities
- • Management of invoices, ensuring timely entries and payment of invoices
- • Maintenance of customer/vendor balances
- • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and recording accounts transactions
- • Generate and deliver reports to the supervisor as needed
- • Preparation and maintenance of audit schedules
- • Preparation of monthly journal entries
- • Assist in General Consumption Tax computation and filing
- • Support supervisory and executive staff by performing any assigned accounting tasks
- • Perform any other accounting related duties assigned

Qualifications
- • Associate Degree in Accounting/ACCA Level I
- • Excellent customer orientation and negotiation skills
- • Capable of working under pressure and using initiative
- • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- • Sound accounting software skills
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- • At least two (2) years’ related work experience preferred.
Additional Information and Instructions
Special Conditions Associated with the Job:
- • Local travel.
- • Extended hours according to the requirements of the job.
Job Context:
- • This position works normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 8;30 am to 4;30 pm) in a normal office environment, domiciled at Head Office Trafalgar Road.
