Accountant

Summary

Maxfield Park Children's Home (MPCH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our Residential Child Care Facility, commencing April 2025.

Responsibilities

• • Manage the daily operations of the Accounts Department, including accounts receivable/payable, financial reporting, payroll, and endowment accounting.
• • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of all financial records and statutory obligations.
• • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and reports for decision-making.
• • Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard the facility's resources.
• • Provide strategic financial advice to the management team.
• • Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate flexibility in operations.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in financial and other software:

  • • MicroBridge/Smart Pay, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• • Knowledge of Government accounting policies and regulatory compliance.
• • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level II.
• • Minimum of Two (2) years' experience at a similar level.
