Accounting Manager – Ocho Rios Commercial Centre

Summary

The incumbent will have responsibility for financial activities, including the oversight of the Payables, Receivables, and Revenue accounting. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining effective budgetary control and ensuring adherence to with the Government of Jamaica Procurement Guidelines, Financial Policies and Procedures and the requirements of the Public Bodies Management and Accountability Act.

Responsibilities

Specifically, the tasks of the PE will include but are not limited to;

• • Ability to interpret financial statements and management reports
• • Ability to multi-task, rearrange priorities and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
• • Well-developed analytical, supervisory, and personal/human relations skills
• • Unquestioned integrity and confidentiality
• • Sound administrative and organizational skills

Qualifications

• • A University degree in Accounting, Management or equivalent
• • Completed or pursing the ACCA and/or CPA designation would be an asset
• • Minimum of five years’ experience in financial accounting at a middle management or senior level with a medium or large organization
• • Experience in implementing management control systems
• • Proficient in Accounting applications and systems, as well as Microsoft Suite
• • Sound knowledge of management accounting systems, policies, and procedures
• • Knowledge of the Public Bodies Management and Accountability Act
